Matthew McCollum is a storyteller you’ve almost heard of.

As a composer/lyricist, he’s written songs for Black-Eyed Susan (2024 O’Neill Finalist), Nostalgia Night (Penn State Centre Stage), and Hero Club (it’s a Dungeons & Dragons podcast, and it’s better than you could ever imagine). His work has been developed and presented at the ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop, Yale School of Drama, Penn State New Musicals Initiative, The Wallis, 24-Hour Musicals, Williamstown Theatre Festival’s WTF Cabaret, New York Theatre Barn, and more.

He is a finalist for the Kleban Prize, a finalist for both the Dramatists Guild Fellows Program and Dramatists Guild National Fellowship, and a semi-finalist for Encores! Off-Center’s Lobby Project.

A graduate of Yale School of Drama’s Acting program, he also performs from time to time. He’s glad you found him.
